It seems like no time since we were counting down the days to the end of the school run and a few weeks off, we’re now on the other side of the summer break and counting down the days ‘til we can sit down with a cup of tea and not have to constantly think about the intellectual Jenga that is summer camps, playdates and endless activities. Delegation

  1. Delegate. If you have a partner it’s time to give them a list of things to do. Yes, it’s often quicker to do things yourself but that’s also the fastest way to burn out. Not delegating creates a learned behaviour and a rod for your own back. Anyone is capable to ordering the school books.
  2. Repeat after me. Nothing needs to be perfect. Children want to be happy, feel loved and secure and don’t really care if everything matches. Some perfect Instagram mums really are perfect, some have lots of money and help and others have every other part of their life falling apart in the background. Unfollow anyone who is making you feel less than.
